Our First Christmas Away from Home

Hello to everyone, and Merry Christmas too!
I know I am late blogging about Christmas but its better late then never.
This year was very different for us as we did not go home for Christmas.
We Celebrated Jesus Birthday with new friends and church family.
Christmas Eve was a balmy 12 degrees Celsius and that was strange all by itself! I called home and Chatted with my folks and had Dad read "The Night Before Christmas" over the phone to me.. its family Tradition.
We went to an old Country chapel with a wood stove and lanterns to sing Christmas Carol that Christmas Eve Night, it was very nice. We then went to our Friends home for Appetizers and we ate waaaaayyy too much! We got home very late and by the time our stockings were out and we were in Bed it was 2:30am. I used to get up then for Christmas morning.
Dad called at 6:30 to get us out of Bed and wished us a Merry Christmas. We then opened our Stockings and Called Chris' family.
WE then loaded up the Car and went to Another Friends house for Christmas Morning, WE had Breakfast at 8am and opened our gifts all together. We stayed with this family for the day and had Christmas Dinner in the Afternoon and went home around 5:30.

Exhausted we went to Bed and fell asleep watching "All Dogs Go to Heaven", Chris got it for Christmas.

Boxing day was strange for us too as we got up, loaded up the car and went to the Toronto Airport.. we were off to URBANA!
