I was just thinking today at work..
"Wouldn't it be nice if I could save money in my bank account the way my body saves fat.
And... in keeping with that.. wouldn't it be nice if I could loose weight the way my bank account looses money!!!"
Just thought you might enjoy my thought for today..
Cheers

Extra Extra Read all about it...
Ok.. SO.. I was working in the Labeling room at Ivanhoe and was stamping boxes for the up coming days.
I was making Boxes that said "Extra Thick Cheddar", this required repetitively stamping the word "Extra" on many boxes.
Doing this, of course, caused me to think "Extra Extra read all about it" and said it a few times over in my head.
This then lead me to thinking " I wonder why they said Extra... is it because that was the name of thier paper? Was it because it was simply extra information that no one really needed to know?
So. my question to you is.. Why did they say "Extra Extra!" ?

"this is the Life"... an escape from reality
Chris took me on a romantic escape this past weekend. We Stayed in a fantansy sweet called the Montebello Room.
We arrived around 2pm and he made me stay in the car so I wouldnt know how much it cost.
Then we spent a relaxing evening in our complimentry bath robes, sipping champaign and soaking in the jacuzzi tub.

We had dinner at Crabby Joes.. at my request and had a hot complimentary breakfast the following morning at Cora's.
It was a wonderful escape and I am so very thankful for my sensitive Husband. He knew I needed it.
Thanks Babe!!!
To see more pics of the room check out my facebook page.

Packaging Cheese...

SO I finally have something to blog about now. Though it almost seems that blogging is a way of the past since Facebook has taken over my life.
I work at the Ivanhoe Chees Factory. I am still very new at this job and am trying to decide if I am factory material. I am a task oriented person and have a list of task that need to be accomplished in a day is actually something I like. As we finish each order and work our way down the list it is very rewarding. It's nice to be able to measure what i have done that day.
I must say, this job has given me a whole new perspective of hard working people who dedicate thier whole lives to this form of employment as a means to support their families. Cudos to you Dad.. You are a dedicated man and I never appreciated your sacrafices until now.
Getting up at 4am to be busy at work by 5am is a whole new thing for me and it has taken some time for me to adjust. Unfortunately I havent been very gracious with my husband when I get home and have actually been a little cranky on occasion in the last 2 weeks.
Ok I have been alot cranky.. and pretty unbarable at times. God Bless that man!!!

The Princess and her Kiss

We are reading this story at Girls Bible Study tonight. It's about a loving king and queen who present their daughter with a gift from God, her first kiss, to keep or to give away. The wise girl waits for the man who is worthy of her precious gift. Where is he and how will she ever find him? It's a great parable for saving yourself for marriage.
I am excited for our girls to hear it and am looking into purchasing the study guide called "Life Lessons From The Princess and the Kiss"
This has 21 lessons in it that we will follow covering the gift God has given us and why it is important for us to Honor God with that Gift. The books were written for girls who are very young but is adaptable for all ages. I am soooo excited about these Studies.. I just want every girl to know that She is a Daughter of THE KING.. she is a PRINCESS!!!!!!!!!

CAB Song

This is a picture of me singing the long lived CAB song at a Local Coffee House.
I bet Gray Gillies had no idea that weekday morning when she picked up Chris' guitar and played the only chord she new (A) and began to sing that she was creating a song that would be heard all over the country (at least in a different province)
This quant little song was first sung during Coffee Break at Taylor College in 2004. We had gone out dancing for my Birthday a while before and had a wild Cab experience. This experience caused Gray to share her past experiences in a Cab and then the wheels began to turn.
She picked up Chris' guitar at break and placed her fingers on the 2nd fret in just the right way to create the A chord. She strummed the A a little and then out came the song......
A before B except after C cab song..... That was the chorus that was sung in between the various lines...
We had a good laugh while telling our stories in song form (all on the same chord) then sticking the chorus in between each sentence. Before we knew it we had a real Pheobe song on our hands!
SInce then I have played the song a few times at home and then... it was Requested at the Coffee House.....
GASP.. I was terrified and excited all at the same time.. Little did the guys know that it has been a dream of mine to one day sing at a Coffee House like Pheobe from Friends, "Smelly Cat" style.
So.. Thank you Gray!!!!! you made my dreams come true!

Brush your teeth and FLOSS EVERY DAY!

Hello to all my dear friends and fellow tooth brushers.
Today I got my first 2 of 3 cavities drilled and Filled since I was a little Girl.
I had been so proud of myself for not having any fillings in my adult teeth until my visit to the Dentist this year.
I had not been to the dentist since I got married as I was no longer covered under my parents plan, so when Chris' plan went through we headed to the Dentist.
I WAS excited to have my teeth checked and cleaned

and then.. I got the bad news. I had 3 cavities, one of which was cause for great concern as it was on the brink of spreading into the nerve.
So, today I had 2 molars drilled and drilled and drilled and scraped and blood sucked and rinsed until they couldnt drill, scrap, suck or rinse anymore. This experience was not as fun as I remembered it being as a little girl.
My Dentist would tell me that he was going to poke me with a magic wand and it would make my mouth feel funny and then he was put a rain coat with buttons over my mouth and it would soon be over..plus.. I knew that when I was done I would get a SWEET TOY.
Today.. was not the same... and I have concluded that either my childhood Dentist was a liar or that this guy was plain old mean. He poked me with a needle.. and there was nothing magic about it.. and then he poked again and again and again.. I rememinded myself as he was poking me that I would soon appreciate the needle as he drilled.
Does this look like a magic wand to you????
Then.. He attempted to put the Rain coat on but the Button Popped off! AND part way through the proceedure he decided to wedge it in a little further.. Praise God for that needle!Have you ever seen a Rain Coat that looked like this?
Any way.. to top it all off.. I ended up with a sore mouth and NO TOY!
So a word to the wise.. FLOSS FLOSS FLOSS.
I hate flossing but not as much as I hate getting a filling.
Tell me about your favorite or least favorite visit to the dentist.

Our First Christmas Away from Home
Hello to everyone, and Merry Christmas too!
I know I am late blogging about Christmas but its better late then never.
This year was very different for us as we did not go home for Christmas.
We Celebrated Jesus Birthday with new friends and church family.
Christmas Eve was a balmy 12 degrees Celsius and that was strange all by itself! I called home and Chatted with my folks and had Dad read "The Night Before Christmas" over the phone to me.. its family Tradition.
We went to an old Country chapel with a wood stove and lanterns to sing Christmas Carol that Christmas Eve Night, it was very nice. We then went to our Friends home for Appetizers and we ate waaaaayyy too much! We got home very late and by the time our stockings were out and we were in Bed it was 2:30am. I used to get up then for Christmas morning.
Dad called at 6:30 to get us out of Bed and wished us a Merry Christmas. We then opened our Stockings and Called Chris' family.
WE then loaded up the Car and went to Another Friends house for Christmas Morning, WE had Breakfast at 8am and opened our gifts all together. We stayed with this family for the day and had Christmas Dinner in the Afternoon and went home around 5:30.
Exhausted we went to Bed and fell asleep watching "All Dogs Go to Heaven", Chris got it for Christmas.
Boxing day was strange for us too as we got up, loaded up the car and went to the Toronto Airport.. we were off to URBANA!

I'm married to the Grinch!
I went shopping last night and came home around midnight with a sweet gift for my husband. Exhausted from the shopping I went to bed..against my better instict without wrapping his gift.
This morning a I got up early, went to the gym came home, showered and headed off to Choir practice without a second thought about that gift.
Later today I was chatting with Chris about our comming week and the shopping that needs to be completed when he informed me that he found his gift and knows what it is.
He then chased me around the house so that he could get the gift from me so he could read the package!!!
I threatened to take it back, but then I wrapped it while pouting and making a small scene. Okay, Okay I made a big scene but you have to know that he does this every year and this year he even bought his own gift in November..
He completely STOLE CHRISTMAS!
Oh well.. just like the story goes..
Christmas came without ribbons! It came without tags!
"It came without packages, boxes or bags!"
And he puzzled three hours, `till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store.
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"
So my dear friends I dont feel so sad.. Christmas will come even though he did make me Mad!
this is a pic of what I got him by the way you might as well see it since he already has.

Hello all, the following are pics from Chris' birthday Party. We had race car table cloth and napkins to match! We had plenty to munch on including a Clown Ice cream Cake from the good ol' DQ. To top off the night we played Commercial Crazies (thanks Mum and Dad) He recieved all kinds of gifts (despite the "NO GIFT" warning on the invite) What can I say except we've been blessed with good friends.
Debbie and Joy are making decorating plans
Greg is enjoying some chips and dip (thanks for the Dip Heather!)
Happy Birthday to you!

Sea Salt and Pepper Chips, MY FAVORITE!

Smile you party animals!

This Card was converted for a 22 year old.. too cute.

A Christmas At Foundations

Working at Foundations means I had the distinct pleasure of planning, creating and riding on the Foundations Christmas Float.
We decided that our theme would be a Gangsta's Christmas. We choose this theme because the majority of the students who frequent Foundations are wanna be Gangsta's. So, for Costume all girls were to arrive in White Hoodies

and the boys in their regular attire (Black Hoodies) the girls wore Garland in their hair to look like angels and the guys wore red (TEC) scarves.

The Float was decked out in Christmas lights and my Tree ( I used other decorations so It wouldn't feel like my tree). The Students sat on bails of Straw and I stood at the back of the Float behind a make shift counter and dished up Chili, compliments of Capt. Shawn Branch. We had a sign at the front of our Float reading " Christmas at Foundations" and the students ate the chili just as if we were at Foundations.
The real give away that we were Gangsta other then the Hoodies and Mary Jane Bandanas,

was the Gangsta Music, we were the loudest float by far as we pumped out Christian Christmas Rap. I found a CD online called "Gift Rap". It's actually not bad. Anywho, here are some pics... If I have the energy I might put together a slide show with some gangsta music but the pics with have to do for now.

A tribute to Gray's Pizza Crust

I have a dear friend named Gray
About her, I have one thing to say
She makes a Pizza crust that blows them all away.
Gray your recipe has made me famous you see.
I made it for a few and they ate it all with glee.
After which they all exclaimed your Pizza sets me Free.
My Friends now think that Im the one
Who makes the best pizza under the sun
And so dear Gray I simply should say, I love you a ton!

I wish it would get cold already.

I have had enough of this ridiculously warm weather! Who wants to wake up in a sweat in the middle of November. Seriously though. We put extra blankets on the bed because the temperature had been dropping in the middle of the night and we were getting cold. Now, though, it is too warm for the extra blankets this rainy warm weather is for the BIRDS I say.
Bring on the cool tempuratures and the Snow.
I love the Snow and I think its high time we see some.I know this sounds like a strange rant but if you know me you know how I feel about snow... I love it! I prefer to drive in it over the rain and its much prettier than the end of Fall look: "Death".

Fall generally is my favorite time of year, but only when the leaves are changing and beginning to fall. Once they have all fallen I am ready for the glisten of snow. Plus, Snow makes it feel more like Christmas, and Christmas is coming very quickly. It's only 1 month and 17 days away. You must know that I also really love Christmas.
I guess I'm one of those romantic types that loves the silly things in life like, Walking in the Leaves in the Fall, the smell of Brisk Fresh Air, the glisten of Snow on a tree and across the lawn, the dazzle of falling snow at night, the reflection of Christmas lights on the snow, the Twinkle of a Christmas Tree, the coziness of Hot Chocolat and popcorn (vouch for me Jen and Gray), you know all that mushy stuff.

Anyway, its a rainy day which is only nice when you have some company to watch movies with, I miss my husband and my girls from SJ. So For now, I say Booo to the Rain and YAY to the Snow.
Have a Great Winter everyone!

Which Denomination is your Bra?
I recieved this today from a couple of my Aunts. It is quite funny. Please Ladies know that I love all of you the way you are no matter you cup size or denomination. Also know that most of what is said about each could be said about them all.
Enjoy!
What Denomination is your BRA?
A man walked into the ladies department of a Macy's and shyly walked up to the woman behind the counter and said, "I'd like to buy a bra for my wife."
"What type of bra?" asked the clerk.
" Type?" inquires the man, "There's more than one type?
"Look around," said the saleslady, as she showed a sea of bras in every shape, size, color and material imaginable.
"Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four types of bras to choose from."
Relieved, the man asked about the types. The saleslady replied:
There are the Catholic, the Salvation Army, the Presbyterian, and the Baptist types. Which one would you prefer?
Now totally befuddled, the man asked about the differences between them.
The Saleslady responded, "It is all really quite simple..
The Catholic type supports the masses.
The Salvation Army type lifts the fallen,
The Presbyterian type keeps them staunch and upright, and
The Baptist makes mountains out of mole hills.
Have you ever wondered why A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, G, and H are the letters used to define bra sizes?
If you have wondered why, but couldn't figure out what the letters stood for, it is about time you became informed!
{A} Almost Boobs...
{B} Barely there.
{C} Can't Complain!
{D} Dang!
{DD} Double dang!
{E} Enormous!
{F} Fake.
{G} Get a Reduction.
{H} Help me, I've fallen and I can't get up !
They forgot the German bra.
Holtzemfromfloppen!
Enjoy!

Lots has happened
Okay so I had said I would blog often and I haven't. For a while I didnt have much to blog about and then I got really busy and simply didn't have time. Now I do, and have lots to say.
I have a new job now working from home "YEAH!". The Lord has heard my prayer and delivered me from Subway.
Don't get me wrong. The people of Subway treated me well and who's to say that I won't ever work there again. You just never know.
I am now working for Foundations as the Programmer and Fundraiser. My job title only describes a part of what I do but it will have to do as we can't think of another title. I will be working with them until the end of March and I started this past Monday. I was officially Hired on Tuesday of last week and was training my replacement the very next day.
It seems that I am replacable.. sigh... Actually the whole thing couldnt have been planned any better if I had done it myself.
I was meeting with Capt. Paul just the other day and we decided that it didnt make sense for me to persue a job as a parish based youth leader right now as it would take me away from the ministry that I am already involved in here in Centre Hastings.
Shortly after a different sort of job opportunity came up and I was in the midst of persuing it but unsure as it would ivolve alot of travel and only a few hours a week. I would have probably needed a second job.
As I was praying about this I was continuing my usual work at Subway and was thinking "Lord, I can't do another winter of napkin folding!". I then carried on and went home at the end of my shift.
When I got home I had a phone call (right away) asking me if I want a job ( a grant from the governement kind of job)
Of course I said yes! And that was it.. I was hired...
So now, I am working at Foundations.
THanks for reading
